I found some very cool spoons while shopping at Sheffield’s Antique Mall this week.
If you know me, then you know how much I love cloth napkins. Actually, if you read my blog, then you know how much I love cloth napkins. I have done many posts about them in the past… Chevron Cloth Napkins, Gingham Napkins, Seersucker Napkins, Serger 101
I didn’t have any special kind of tools for this project. I used a pair of pliers, a workout weight (for wrapping and molding) and a plastic mallet for beating the mouth of the spoon. I was careful to buy spoons that were sterling silver because the metal is softer and easier to bend. If you try this method with a stainless steel spoon, you can forget about bending it on your own with pliers!
Here are some of the different rings and napkin combos I came up with.
Perhaps this will be an interesting conversation starter at my next dinner party!
