Chalk Painted Mason Jars

These are so fun.
Painted Ball Jars are great accent pieces for shelves and tables
or they make fabulous storage containers.
I used ASCP (Annie Sloan Chalk Paint) in colors: Provence, Aubusson and Arles.

 

 

I applied 2 coats and then roughed them up with sandpaper.
I applied ASCP clear wax, as a protectant.
I buffed the wax with an old t-shirt to make them glossy.
The photo below is before I applied the wax and buffing…
They are pretty cool with a matte finish too.
You could achieve this look by using hemp oil as your protectant rather than wax
or use the wax but don’t buff it.
