I found an adorable table runner at Kohls last week and it was on clearance – ding, ding, ding! When I saw it, I was NOT thinking of using it as a table runner though. I actually thought it would make an adorable garden flag.

I began by cutting it 21 inches from what would be the bottom of the flag.
Then, I turned under the raw edge (the one I just cut) and I hemmed it. *I turned it under 1/4 inch twice, so that no frayed edges would be exposed.
Next, I folded the top part over 3 1/2 inches and sewed the top and bottom.
This made a pocket for the flag pole.
The entire project took less than 15 minutes and it’s so adorable!
Happy Fall!!!
