Biscuits

Seriously, I’m not even kidding, there are only two ingredients in these delicious biscuits. My grandmother (sweet Baboo) shared this recipe with me when I got married 22 years ago and I didn’t know how to cook, to say the least.  This was the only recipe that NEVER failed me in those beginning months of marriage.  It’s still my favorite biscuit recipe because they are always so fluffy and perfect.  I won’t even get started on how easy they are to prepare.

Ingredients:

2 cups of (sifted) Self-Rising Flour

1/2 pint of Whipping Cream

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix flour and cream together but don’t over-mix! Roll them out on parchment paper and cut with a biscuit cutter or a small glass.  Bake on a cookie sheet for 10 minutes or until golden brown on top.

These are nice with a little melted butter brushed on top but that adds a 3rd ingredient, right?
