It’s time for Friday Favorite #6 and I want to talk about my very favorite thing in my kitchen… My KitchenAid Stand Mixer.
This is the color of my mixer and I LOVE THIS COLOR.
This is my favorite attachment. It’s a glass bowl that attaches to the stand just like the regular metal bowl. The cool thing about this bowl is that it’s microwaveable, which means I can melt butter or soften cheese right in the bowl. It also has this air tight lid so you can mix up batter and store it in the fridge without worrying about it absorbing other fridge smells.
My newest accessory is the Ice Cream Maker Attachment. I cannot wait to see how this works. I have mixed up the first batch of ice cream and will be churning it tomorrow. I will report back to you on this one! From what I hear, it’s going to be very awesome!

November 10, 2015 at 4:14 pmI saw your Dorotha (spelling??) Pie Chest that you painted duck egg. Did you water down the paint, because it seems like the color is a bit transparent so the old color pops through a bit which I love. I am painting builtins the same color and want the maple color to come through as well. Also, have you ever used Amy Howard’s new paint, I just tried and painted my doors with it and its seems the same as Annie Sloan…

November 10, 2015 at 11:26 pmLisa, thank you! I didn’t water down the paint. I actually used two coats but I sanded it and distressed it, to show the wood beneath. I haven’t tried Amy Howard’s paint but I’ll make note of that! I would love to see your built-ins after they’re finished. I love Duck Egg, it’s my favorite color in the ASCP paint line.
